No glasses yet

We haven't gotten any glasses yet, hopefully next week:) I have finally weened my poor husband down to one vehicle! We just have to pick it out. He sold his Honda car yesterday and wants a toyota 4x4. So we are going to find him one and during taxes we are going to try to sell the van, if it doesn't sell by March then we are going to sell the truck by June. Then we will be down to one vehicle per adult! Yay! It only took us 6years:) Such is life:)
Jake is having a rough time not arguing with his teachers, Im wondering if its preteen stuff ........Maybe too much basketball? Some of his friends have a hard time being respectful, I wish schools would worry more about manners and respect even on the playground. I know budget is limited and there are some amazing teachers out there, a lot of them are just overwhelmed.
Lexi seems to be doing well although Im begining to wonder if she is emotionally doing alright. She seems to be down a bit, like maybe she doesn't feel cool? Im going to have to go through her clothes again, maybe that will boost her self esteem. That and helping her do her hair in the morning. We'll see:)
Mikeayla has been leaning a lot about tantrums and whether or not she can get away with things. I think she is learning though:) Poor girl thinks she owns the world, lol:)
Ahh and I am doing well a little down but I think its an after the holidays down, maybe were all suffering from the holiday drop. Things will get better, spring is just around the corner!

Glasses

Our whole family is going to have glasses! Thank you God that we have insurance! I got glasses about a week ago and Andy Jake and Alexia will get their glasses in about a week and a half. Thanks to heredity Mikeayla will most likely have astigmatism like her Mom Dad and siblings but until she is ready to let the doctor look at her eyes she will be glasses free. Here are a couple pics from the Eye Dr Office:) The girls were trying on glasses so cute:) Lexi wasn't wanting to hold still for anything, I guess it was the excitement of getting new glasses and getting to pick them out herself:) Ill get pics of everyone as soon as they get it:)
Andy got a new broken down truck and is working hard to get it up in running time and budget permitting. He's so dedicated to his projects, if only he would be as dedicated to putting his laundry away, lol:) I'll have to get a pic of that up later...
Jake is doing well with basketball, he's really improved since last year and is learning invaluable sportsmanship lessons. With Andy coaching he's really done great! Speaking of Andy coaching, he's doing well too, I think this last year of teaching Sunday school and kidstruction has really helped him as a leader and example; I am so proud of him!
Jake is also doing well in school still, although a little excited he has been working really hard on his homework and I think glasses will help him immensly!
Lexi wants to do cheerleading really bad and I think Im going to start home training her for next season. I think she's ready to follow through with a sport now:) She has been doing great with her school work and I just can't wait to see the improvement after she gets her glasses. She is such a smart little girl:)
Mikeayla is learning so many words so quickly, I am amazed everyday!
I am sticking to my biggest loser challenge and budget challenge. Day by day Im pushing through:)
I really think this new year is going to be great!

Well here it is, 2010!!!

What a busy holiday season! We had so much fun with family and friends, and 2010 has had a great start:)
Andy is doing well working both jobs (Coke and Abbys) as well as volunteering as a kidstruction teacher and Sunday school teacher, and asst coach for Jake's basketball team. He was also just asked to be the head coach and accepted, yay! What an amazing husband and father:)
Jacob has been doing really good in school this year we are so proud of him! He has been doing basketball as well and seems to really be good at it:) He has really become such a young man, which is kind of bittersweet. I guess all children must grow up some time:)
Lexi is such a beauty! Were really going to be in trouble with this one, lol. She has such a strong will, but such an amazing heart! She has just jumped into the realm of barbie dolls and we are learning how to keep our rooms from looking like a plate of spaghetti, lol. But she is learning:)
Mikea has grown so much its just so hard to believe that in just a year in a half she will be going off to preschool! She is growing into a little spitfire just like her big sister. She looks up to both Jake and Lex so much, all she wants is to play with them and love on them. And they are truly the best siblings to her!
I can't express the depth of love I feel for these children, they are just about the most amazing group of kiddos that ever walked this earth!
Now for Mom, I am doing well. I teach Sunday School and help out with kidstruction, and parent these 3 amazing kiddos:) And love my husband to smithereens:) I love my life!
So here's to the craziness of my wonderful family! There will be ups and downs and struggles all through this blog but in the end and over all it will be filled with love. Because God first loved us!
